"To err is human, to arr is pirate"
The Foam Pirates are a duo of costume and prop fabricators from Aberdeen, Scotland. Comprised of Kyla (Hallow Studios) and Myles (Lionheart Kosplay), they are known mostly for their game-inspired builds.
We formed the Pirates as an educational platform from which we could offer presentations on all aspects of cosplay and making, and this has
allowed us to deliver workshops at a number of different conventions and events.
As part of this endeavour, we have worked closely with crafting brands to test
and research a variety of materials, in-order to inform the cosplay community about what we believe are the best products available to them. Our willingness to openly share our techniques and the details of our cosplay builds on social media and with the community has seen us both be awarded the title of 'Poly Props Crafting Legend'.
As well as foam fabrication, we are well versed in painting, electronics, textiles, and cosplay performance.
